We extend our deepest sympathies to Al Bowman on the recent death of his brother Tommy. A resident of Bayview, Tramore, Tommy is predeceased by his beloved Marie. He will be sadly missed by hist brothers Al and Johnny, his sister Theresa and all his relatives and friends. Tommy’s funeral mass took place in the Holy Cross church, Tramore followed by burial in St. Patrick’s cemetery. May he rest in peace.
We also send our sympathies to Eily Kirwan, Amberhill on the recent death of her sister Mary Grant. Mary was a resident of Slieverue but died peacefully in the care of Conna  Nursing Home. Mary will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Her funeral mass was celebrated in the Church of the Assumption, Slieverue with burial in the adjoining cemetery. May she now rest in peace.

Ballyduff GAA

It is great to log into the clubs Facebook page and see so many reports of matches played and see the great activities enjoyed by all age groups. I had the opportunity to bring two little people in my life to academy training last Saturday and I couldn’t get over what I saw. Firstly I must compliment the club on the safe and professional way it was run. The laughs and excitement of the children as they they were each given time to shine. The words of encouragement from the many volunteer coaches who give their time to support these young players of the future. I must say though that I have a sneaky suspicion that some of the coaches were enjoying themselves maybe more than the children! A big well done to Calum Lyons who came along and joined in the coaching and there were times he had some stiff competition.
The ladies fun group has returned on Friday nights at 7.30pm which is all about fun and excercise. If you want to join all you have to do is turn up.
