Dancing Shoes.
Excitement is really building for the Ballyduff Lower GAA clubs celebratory dinner dance which will take place on Saturday February 22nd at 7.30pm in The Granville Hotel.Tickets are being sought, shoes are being heeled and I thought my eyes were deceiving me the other night as I passed by Tom Cheasty Park and saw many men young and old waltzing around the field with their hurleys as they repeated “123”, “123”. Remember that you do not have to be a member of the club to go to the dinner dance but you do have to know how to enjoy yourself.

Tickets are now on sale from all committee members or by calling 087 2437435 and for just €35 each you will enjoy a delicious 4 course meal, followed by the presentation of medals and then its on with the dancing shoes and dance the night away to the wonderful sounds of the Bottle Brothers. Get your ticket early and avoid disappointment.

Our Lady of Lourdes

On Tuesday February 11th we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes which is also World Day of Prayer for the Sick. A special mass will take place that evening in St. Nicholas’s church, Ballyduff for all those who have been or now are sick and feel that this special mass would benefit them. Mass will be offered at 7.30 pm and all are welcome to attend .

GAA News
The club are delighted to see so many people using their facilities on Friday nights from 7pm to 8.30pm as part of the Ireland Lights Up programme. Come along on Friday nights bring a friend or a few and walk, jog, chat in a well lit, safe environment.

The U11/12 hurling and football section will return to training on Wednesday February 12th for both boys and girls in the field. The super coaching given to this section was beginning to reap rewards last year and the club hopes that all this bunch will return and of course new members are always welcome. If you have any questions please contact head coach Rory Phelan who will be ably assisted this year by John Dalton, Cathal Daly and Brian Hearne.

Parish Choir

I’m sure that you will agree that a church choir enhance any mass and we are very lucky here in Ballyduff to have a beautiful church choir. If you are over 18 and would like to become a choir member then please contact Bridget Jordan on 087 9883720 or Eamonn O Leary on 086 8592014.
