Tea/Coffee Date

Thursday May 5th is National Alzheimers Tea Day and I know I dont have to tell any of you about what a worthy charity this is. This is an illness which touches a lot of families and while the patient themselves gets plenty of support, the family are often left feeling helpless and scared. So how can we show our support? All we have to do is relax with a cuppa, a treat or two and have a chat. Please come along to Ballyduff Community Centre on Thursday May 5th from 9.30am to 12 noon and support this very worthy cause. There will be a raffle on the day too with some fantastic prizes on offer. When you think about what these people go through every day and all we have to do to help is sit and have a cuppa with a few friends. Meet you there for the chat.

Ball Drop.

Don’t forget that I mentioned to you last week about a fun ball drop that will take place on June 6th in aid of the Ballyduff Community Centre Redevelopment Fund. The plan is to drop 1000 numbered balls down a hill and the first one home will receive €250, second home gets €100 and third home gets €50. Balls cost €2.50 and you can purchase as many as you like. They can be purchased from many different people around the parish including Siobhan Walsh, Isabel O Neill, Linda Spillane. Marie Reade to name just a few.
