Youth Club.
Volunteers are needed to start a Youth Club in the Ballyduff and Kilmeaden area. If you are aged 18 or over, enjoy working with young people, have a positive attitude and have a few hours to spare. No experience is needed just enthusiasm. Waterford and South Tipperary Community Youth Services supported by the Kilmeaden Community Network aim to provide a safe, fun and welcoming space where young people can connect, learn and grow. If you are interested, please contact Annette on 086-170016.

Talent Show.
Are you a singer or musician ready to shine, do your dance moves make everyone jealous, does your magic make everyone gasp in disbelief or do your jokes and impressions have people splitting their sides with laughter. Your time has come to shine while supporting your local church renovation fund. Each club, organisation or group in the parish are asked to put forward some entrants to represent them, or individuals can put themselves forward and choose their chosen club. The nominated club could win a fantastic €1000 for their club funds. Three individual heats will take place in O Donnachas, Haughtons and The Sweep during the month of June with the finalists going through to the grand final in Ballyduff Community Centre. Music will be provided by Pat Comerford and all funds raised will go towards the renovation of our beautiful St. Nicholas Church. All entries should be forwarded to John O Leary on 087 2154519. Our parish and community is awash with talented individuals and groups so why not join in the fun.
Ballyduff AFC
The club are delighted to report that with thanks to recent grant funding, they have completed an important upgrade to their club community centre with the installation of new energy efficient windows and doors. They are very grateful to all involved in securing and delivering this project.
The U11 schoolboys captured a good win over Hibs with great individual performances across the field and the game finished with a 5-0 scoreline.
The U11’s put in a super performance against a strong Abbeyside team and came away with a well-deserved draw.
The U12B team had a good 2-1 win over a very good Park Rangers side. A few squad members were missing so some of the younger players stepped up and performed very well.
Well done to the U8’s who were out last week for a friendly against Villa and had a great time.
If you would like to join the club’s development fund, please contact any of the committee or check out details on their Facebook page. The proceeds of this draw will support the club’s upgrade plans which include a clubhouse extension and gym and all-weather pitch. The March winner of the club development draw was Derbhail Kennedy, and we wish her well with her winnings.
