Ballyduff AFC
Well done to the U10 Girls who took part in a blitz against Ballinroad, Dungarvan and Piltown. The girls showed some great skill and played well as a team. A big thank you to all the coaches and parents for their support.
The 2018 boys played a couple of competitive games against Mooncoin last weekend and showed some great passing skills. A big thank you to Mooncoin for making the journey over.
The U16C team had a great 3-1 win over Piltown. Ballyduff got off to a great start and put on the pressure. They made some great scores and kept up a great defence. Although Piltown came out in the second half with great intent, they still managed to come away with a 3-1 win.
The U12B team had to settle for a 3-3 draw with Mooncoin Celtic. This was their first game out in over a month and Ballyduff got off to a slow start. However, the second half saw a great comeback and the team were very happy with the draw.
A big well done and congratulations to Division 3A player Conor Foley who finished the season as the top scorer in the 3A League. Conor has been a member of Ballyduff AFC since he was 5 years old and has always shown great skill and talent. The club are very proud of his achievements and wish him continued success. Conor was presented with his award at a function in the Woodlands Hotel.

Church News.
A beautiful remembrance mass took place last Wednesday evening to remember in a special way all those who have returned home to God during the past year. Each family received a candle in memory of their loved one and were encouraged to light it to remember that their loved one now rests in the peace and light of Christ. Fr. Enright celebrated a lovely mass, and the people were very grateful to him for giving his time. It was lovely to have the parish choir sing some beautiful hymns throughout the mass and Christine and Colette read the readings and prayers of the faithful. A big thank you to Ann who always has the church looking so beautiful.
Renovations are making great progress on our church but there is still a lot of work to be done. All donations are very welcome and can be made online or to any committee member or can be dropped into the weekly collection basket in an envelope marked Church Fund.
You are asked to keep Fr.Francis in your thoughts and prayers. He became ill while visiting his family in India and cannot travel back for a while. We all wish him a speedy recovery. We are blessed to have some wonderful priests helping but not all masses can be covered so for the moment our masses at the weekends are as follows Saturday at 6pm in Portlaw Church and Sunday at 10am in Ballyduff Church
